Aymar N. Bisoka is a professor at the University of Mons in Belgium. A Doctor of Political and Social Sciences, he works on the dynamics of power and resistance, particularly in political ecology, with extensive research in the African Great Lakes region. He has considerable expertise in international cooperation and civil society movements. His current work focuses on expanding the Afro-critical tradition in the social sciences, drawing on various research sites in Africa, Europe and Canada.
